“As we become purer channels for God’s light, we develop an appetite for the sweetness that is possible in the world…..not geared toward fighting the world that is, but toward creating the world that could be.”   Marianne Williamson

It could be said that crisis is a portal to healing and transformation.  It most definitely opens a pathway to discovering our gifts.  So what are the gifts of this unusual time?

When we stop resisting and struggling to manage the crisis, and simply surrender to the moments as they present themselves, we begin to appreciate what’s being revealed.  Some of these gifts are hidden under deeply buried wounds.  Wounds from misunderstandings, old misconceptions, or unmet needs.  Some are treasured facets of our true nature that have not yet been unearthed, polished off and valued.

In my heart of hearts, I believe that this crisis has created an opportunity for us to move into greater compassion, autonomy and peace.  How long will it take us to get there is uncertain.  What is certain, is that we each play a pivotal role.  Therefore, indeed our presence matters…our thoughts and feelings matter.  What feelings are longing to be felt and heard with greater presence and compassion?”  Who needs your deep compassion?  Is it your neighbour… the stranger you pass in the street?  Is it the person on the other side of the globe?  Is it the big voices who are stirring the pot of turmoil to unearth the remnants of our collective unconsciousness longing to be healed.  IS IT YOU?

One of the gifts of this time we find ourselves, is TIME.  Time to be present to the stirrings of those undervalued, undernourished parts of ourselves.  Those parts that have been loosened up by the trigger of someone or something causing a tremor we can no longer ignore or deny.  That trigger or tremor is a gift asking us to take a closer look; to see, to hear, to feel, to love.

And yet this time of social distancing has made it more difficult for us to have those face to face conversations.   It’s in those face to face connections that we are offered the opportunity to look deeply into the eyes of one another, and into the eyes of ourselves, and see the glimmering truth: that inside this person is the most precious being.  When we wholely love and embrace all parts of ourselves and each other, we no longer want to hide our light under a bushel.  We long to express and share our joy and our love.

“There is only one reason for your existence on Earth – for the purpose of raising the vibration of the whole.”   Kryon

So while this crisis may at times be dangerous, painful and challenging, it also contains the gifts of healing and awakening to more of our true essence natures.  As we awaken, we are also giving birth to a collective awe inspiring, beauty, wisdom and transcendence.
